Dutch allowances calculator 2026

Enter your situation once and see an estimate per month and per year for each allowance, or why you are not eligible. Using the official 2026 calculation rules and amounts of Dienst Toeslagen.

This is an estimate, not a decision. Apply for allowances based on a good estimate of your income. If your income turns out higher, you will have to repay (part of) the allowance. For your own situation, use the official trial calculation by Dienst Toeslagen (in Dutch). Everything is calculated in your browser; nothing is stored or sent.

How we calculate

We follow the 2026 calculation rules of Dienst Toeslagen step by step. Healthcare allowance is the standard premium minus the standard contribution (normpremie). Rent allowance uses the basic rent only: the part above the base rent up to the quality discount limit is reimbursed in full, above that 65% up to the capping limit and 40% up to the rent limit; above the income reference point a correction is deducted. Child budget is the maximum amount plus the supplement for children aged 12 and over, minus 7.6% of income above the threshold. Childcare allowance is a percentage from the childcare allowance table of the childcare costs, up to the maximum hourly rate and 230 hours per child per month; the child with the most childcare hours is the first child.

Tested against the official 2026 worked examples of Dienst Toeslagen and the trial calculation on toeslagen.nl: the results match to the euro.
